The Art of Healing encompasses an art exhibit and an expressive arts evening of original music, dance and poetry by and for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse and their allies.
Both amateur and professional poets, dancers, musicians, actors, and visual artists are encouraged to submit original works which depict aspects of their journey along the path of healing.
Survivors Healing Center (SHC) is now forming new ongoing twelve-week, closed intensive therapy groups to begin in September-December. SHC offers separate groups for Girls (ages 14-18); Women; Latina; Lesbian-Bisexual-Transgender; and Men, who are survivors of child sexual abuse.
Welcome to a safe and supportive healing environment. Goals of the therapy groups are to break isolation, develop healthy coping skills, reduce shame, increase self-esteem, and build healthy boundaries. Healing is facilitated using emotional release work, meditation, imagery, expressive arts, writing and group discussion. Join a group of 6-7 individuals.
